Who Inspired this Beer?
Sara Fix is a powerhouse. A mother of three, a small business owner, and a woman who’s navigated life’s highs and lows—all while completing 28 Ironman races across the globe. In 2015 and 2016, she ranked 7th at the Ironman World Championships in Kona and earned an All-American Top 10 ranking.
Then, in 2021, her world flipped upside down.
While competing in the Augusta Ironman, Sara felt winded during the swim, each stroke harder than the last. A medic pulled her from the water, marking her first-ever DNF (Did Not Finish). Still not feeling right weeks later, she visited her doctor. Tests revealed the unthinkable: stage three cancer. Immediate surgery was required, and her training days seemed over.
After a grueling 12-hour surgery, months of chemo, and other treatments, Sara sank into depression—until one pivotal phone call. A conversation with an old friend about mindset and happiness sparked something in her. Sara made a decision: she refused to let a label define her.
“I just flipped a switch in my brain,” she said, “and focused on what I could control.”
That shift brought her back to training. In late 2022, Sara defied the odds, completing and placing in the Florida Ironman—all while still battling cancer.
Inspired by her grit, determination, and the mindset shift she embraced in the Sunshine State, we named one of our most popular beers after her. Our Tropical IPA, "Sunshine State," is a toast to Sara’s badassery and the power of perseverance. We couldn’t be more proud to share it with you.
For a long time I held that Sam Adam's Just The Haze was the best NA out there, until I tried this. It is exactly as advertised. Light, fruity, delightful. It will permanently be part of my monthly order from Go.
I’ve tried a lot of N.A. beers and by far Go Brewing has some of the best N.A. beers and a great selection like no other. Go Brewing is definitely my N.A. go to beer.
This is such a flavorful (juicy) IPA with great aroma and mouthfeel. If you are a fan of juicy IPAs but don’t want the alcohol, this is for you!
This is the best tasting NA beer I have had. I have tasted a lot of them. Some good, some bad. Sam Adams Nothing but the Haze comes close but still can’t beat Sunshine State Tropical IPA. 🍺
